Did you know that John was a 1st Lieutenant in the home guards. This is a link to Early Battleford, from the Sask. Herald. There is a list of pages with info about him. http://www.ourroots.ca/e/page.aspx?id=4013695 He is also in Battleford Beleaguered. Link to one page but there are others http://www.ourroots.ca/e/page.aspx?id=3606085 Hope I'm not telling you something you already have, but his death should be well documented. Butch

Hi Butch

Yes I did lnow he was in the home guard. I know the cemetery he is buried in but I was just curious to see if they had all the info online. I live in Sherwood Park and I am only 4 hrs away so I will probably head over there this summer. The Battleford museum did at one time have one room dedicated to John but not sure if they still have it going or not. My wife would like to go over there anyway so I will have to make the effort. I was wondering is there anything you do not know. I am going to start e - mailing you personally instead of posting questions.

Thanks Again Colin
