Williams family.
This Indenture made the twentieth day of December 1784 BETWEEN
Luke Williams of the County of
Richmond of the one part and Thomas
Williams of the County of
Brunswick of the other part . . . for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred & fifty pounds . . . doth fully, clearly & absolutely grant, bargain, sell alien, release, enfeoff & Confirm unto the said Thomas
Williams . . . all that Tract or parcel of Land situate lying & being in the County of
Brunswick & whereon the said Thomas
Williams now lives and being the Land late the property of Hugh
Williams decd. and binding on the
Lands of Mr. Purdie & Mr. Moses
Quarles Senior and containing three hundred and twenty six acres of Land . . . Signed by
