Lynn,

Write the Norfolk Library Reference Librarian asking them to do a newspaper search; of course, sending you the result.

Lynn,
I do research on local cemeteries and the people that you are interested in are buried at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, just south of Battle Creek, NE. Herman Henrich was born 4/5 1849 died 4/3/1920, His wife Eliza Ann was born 10/28 1851, died 2/19/1923 and Alvina Bertha dau of John was born 3/23/1909 died 2/28/1911. This is all the information that I have at this time. If you have any info on Herman & Eliza, Parents etc and would share, I would appreciate any info. I do have photos of the markers that are in the cemetery. If you would like a copy e-mailed let me know at this address. menrk@yahoo.com
Good luck in your search............RK

Just a correction on the name of the cemetery in Battle Creek, Nebraska where the Fundum/Vorndam families are buried. It is St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. I will attach photos taken 29 Mar 2009 of the stones you asked about. The quality of the photos is not as good as I would like. My digital was not working and this was a disposable. I will attempt for better photos over Memorial Day.

Thank You for the correction, I have it in my records as St. John's Lutheran, just typed in the wrong name. I have taken pictures of St. John's as well as Union at Battle Creek. I am in the process on getting them on line. The location is nebraskagravestones.org/, if you take a look at Tilden / IOOF you can see what I am trying to do. It just takes time to get all the data entered.
Later...............RK

Thank you. I've been to that website in recent weeks. It is amazing!!! If you are responsible for it, I'd like to offer my deepest gratitude! I could offer you photos of additional gravestones in Madison County, but I do not have the location and other family history as you do on the Tilden cemetery. Thank you again!

It is not my web site, but I am the cordinator for Madison and Antelope Counties. I have to check the photos after they have been submitted and then post them on line.
I have pictures for the following Cemeteries: St. John's Lutheran, Union, St Patricks, Osborn and Allbery all near Battle Creek, NE. Best, Trinity Lutheran #2, Iowa Valley, Rose Hill, Tilden, Immanuel Lutheran, McCoy, Deer Creek, Williams, Warren, St. Paul (Buffalo Creek), St. Matthews And St. Mary's in Antelope County.
If you have any pictures from other cemeteries in Madison County, or any other county, feel free to Submit them. If I get all the pictures that I have on line I will be doing good.

I have spent the past two hours submitting photos. Hopefully you'll approve them when you get them. I did add two cemeteries, Union Cemetery in Madison County and Hoskins EUB Cemetery in Wayne County. I didn't see Union come up in the list when I was submitting, but I see you do have it listed in your previous post. Maybe I just overlooked it.

Feel free to email me directly if you'd rather. Thank you again for all your work on this!!

Oh my goodness! Thank you for all the additional info you have supplied to me via the Nebraskagravestones.org website! I just checked on the Marquardt's. Am glad to get the additional info on Ruth.
