Daniel ROBERTSON b abt 1793, appears on 1850 and 1860 census for Hart Co., KY with wife Jane b abt 1810 (REYNOLDS) and children (including but not limited to Lewis, William, Uriah, Rufus, Charlotte/Carlotta, Mary/Mollie). It is possible Daniel was in Carter Co., TN (1830 census) and Barren Co., KY (1840 census) prior to Hart Co., KY. Looking for any info I can find on this family. Thanks.

William G Robertson s/o Daniel was b abt 1838. He appears n the Hart Co., K census fo 1850 (says b TN) and 1860 (says KY). The record I have shows William age 24 m L. Attebury age 23 on 10 Sep 1857. William would have been 19 if the census recods are correct. I haven't reseached this family very much, do you think they are the same? I would appreciate your input.

Not sure is this helps, but this may be a connection.

On 10 Sep 1857 in Hart Co, Luraney Atterberry of Hart Co, married William Robertson. She was probably Mary S. or L., the d/o Richard Atterberry and his wife Elizabeth Jane Key(es). In 1885, my great grandfather James Robert Atteberry received a letter from his brother William P. suggesting that he not work for their "Aunt Lu Robertson." I later found an entry in the Hart Co Cemetery Index for Mary S. Atterberry, wife of William G. Robertson. She died in 1886.

If this is the same William G. Robertson listed with the Daniel Robertson family in the 1850 and 1860 census, why isn't his wife listed with him in 1860? I have never located this family on any Hart census. Do you have any thoughts or information? You may post here or email me directly.

Yes, this apparently the same couple. Must have fudged some on the marriage record. Or else the census was wrong. Either is possible. Any information on where this couple lived and any descendants especially helpful.

I've been re-reading some VERY OLD posts and came across these re William and Luraney. The question came up, why was he on the 1860 census w/his parents and no wife. William was blind, apparently a medical condition that runs in this family. Would it be possible that they both returned to live with their families if he wasn't able to support her? I also found a William and Mary in Priceville, Hart County in 1870. Although I have him listed as deceased by 1867 I can't find a source for that, is it possibly I have the date wrong?

Hoping this gets to you, it's ONLY been 10 years!
