My grandfather, Vitus, was born in the US, but his father, Vit, was born in what I find listed as "Bojnice" although when I type it into a search on ancestry, the city name is not recognised. I have been able to locate the name of Vit's father, Jan, from Vit's travel documents from 1904, but can find no information on his mother or any siblings. My grandmother (Vitus' wife) has no information. If anyone could help identify this family, or tell me a little more about Bojnice, I would appreciate it greatly.

I find this very interesting! I have a Kostohryz family in my tree, but hey left Bohemia before this 1892 birth. My ancestor is Josef born 1847. Married Mary Kubik (sp?).
I'll have to look into this!

I wonder if they were related somehow. I know some of our family ended up in Wisconsin and Iowa as well as our direct family here in Chicago. Any of that the same as your line? I havent viewed your tree...
