I have been told by several people - doctors included - that there are several diseases that are more common among the Native American People. Some of these are thyroid disorders, fibromyalgia, deformities of the bones in the feet, and some types of heart disease.

I have found that a lot of these things do tend to run in families. As far as proof, I have not bothered to look it up.

thank you very much,my son has norries disease. the doctors think it might be connected to my native blood line (which was found when our son was tested to be so stong that geneticly my heritage would be cosidered to be native, i was told that occures when both sides of your bloodline has several introductions of a certain line,to the point where it becomes the prominant line.)but word of caution,if you have any genetic testing done,demand all results!!because if you allow your resuls done for research they will disapeare. and read all your paper work before you sine it.you can loose your rights to anything you submit.

I am curious about physical characteristics of the Cherokee, according to family lore i am 1/32 Cherokee. But i have Blue eyes blonde hair and pale skin but unusual features for my coloring. I have small eyes with heavy eyelids and a broad face that is not very long with broad lips! I dont get it!
