Last year, James Parnell Culliton, intrepid Culliton researcher, knew he was dying and passed on 40 discs of ?Culliton genealogy. He collected ANYTHING even close to Culleton in Ireland and N. America. I am glad to answer queries and carry on Parnell's work.

I have very little on families who moved to the UK. Sometimes I have info about the family in Ireland if I have data on what state in the US/Canada the family members migrated to as that's how the files are arranged.
I do have a William Culliton m. Mary Roacha in Killkenny but they are a generation before your family ( b. 1820s) and I don't have any other useful info on that family.

Do you have an Ancestry subscription? Your family shows up in the 1901 Wales census and there is a public family tree "waite family tree" that shows your cousins in Patrick's line.

I'm curious about ancestors from England. Is there a particular branch I should be looking at? My great-grandfather's name was Dennis Culleton, wife Alice. Grandparents were Marcus and Inga. All lived in Montana.

On a quick search I do not have any of those 4 names in Montana or England. Do you have names of siblings? Dates?
Have you searched Ancestry?
When did they immigrate?
Do you know if they came directly to Montana or may have come through Canada or elsewhere?

Thanks for the quick reply! My father's family was large--6 kids--and their names are: David, Glenn, James, Ruth, Katherine, and Janice....all were born and raised in Valier, Montana. She posted a slightly muddled pedigree file on that includes your grandparents and greatgrandparents on Family Search. org.
There is a fair amount of census data etc on Ancestry, but until they straighten out a glitch in their new viewer I can't look at original census data to track the family.

Where did you get the info they were from England? All data so far supports Ireland via Canada and Wisconsin....
