I am looking for info on the Rethlefsens who lived at Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands. In particular, I am looking for info about Matthias, or Martin, Rethlefsen, who is indicated in our records to have been the second white man on the island. I don't have his dates offhand, but I can look them up if that would help me locate info.

I realize you posted some time ago, but hope you are still active. My late mother was related to teh Rethlefsen's on San Juan Island and spent part of her youth in Friday Harbor. She copied several letters that were loaned to hher during her visit.
