I am seeking info on my g'g'grandfather's brother, Beziza Bacon, born 1826-1829 in Steuben County NY to Jesse Bacon and Catherine Harris, married Rowena unknown 1845-1846 (children Albert B. 1847, Milo J. 1850, Rozella M. 1853, all born Allegany Co. NY, and William B. 1857 born possibly PA), died in NE. Doing a search at the main NE page I found a B. H. Bacon w/parents J & C Bacon marrying widow Hapsibeth Good in Central City, Merrick, NE on 28 May 1882, and a Begibe? (sic) H. Bacon, widower, in the 1900 Lone Tree Twp Merrick NE census w/daughter Mable Bacon, 17. The initials match, the dates match, and we know what census handwriting was like--the Begibe might be Beziza. Does anybody have anything on this family? Thanks!

I am descended from Berina Bacon's daughter Jennie May Roberts, who married Charles Myron Snell. I have much information on Berina's descendents, but can't help with Jesse's ancestry. I am wondering if Jesse might have been a middle name. Apparently Jesse was a Methodist minister.

Berina was married three times, to Hart Roberts, Benjamin Taylor, and an unknown Palmer.

Please let me know if I can help, or if you find any further info on Jesse Bacon's parentage.

I would be very happy to trade information on the Bacon family. I apologize for the delay; this message had my old email address on it.

I believe that Jesse Bacon's father was Gardner Bacon, son of Joseph Bacon.
