Hi, Cheryl. I'm one of the daughter's of Daisy Questell from PR, Eduardo is my mother's cousin. It's nice seeing this in ancestry.com. Two years ago i find out that in Peoria, Ohio there's a lot info of the Questell family. Well, just want to say hello and a Merry Christmas from one Questell to another one.

looking for some of my cousins that i never met my grandfather's name was guillermo questell who died in puerto rico 1984 (ponce) my grand mother's name was maria christina castro she died when my mom was 5or6yr old my mom name is lillian questell she has brother's and sister from my grand father's side there names are carlos, luis,and a sister not sure of her name but she served in the army for many year she might still be in the army well i hope we can be of some kind of help thank you for reading my letter

Ann, yes there are many who apparently migrated to Puerto Rico from the same place that the Questel family originated in France. Hope that helps. Andrew

Ann, in addition, there are Quetels in St. Barthelemy around 1700. My understanding is that the French provided land grants to the islands. Many of the Questels/Quetels apparently took the grants and migrated to the islands. It is not unusual to see variations of names since errors were made in recording information on birth, death and marriage records. The Quetels appear to me to be related to the Questels who are related to the Questells, etc. There is a bay on St. Vincent named Questelles Bay. No doubt that it was named after a family member. In addition, it appears that prior to migrating to France, the Questels/Quetels resided in Prussia and appear to me to be related to the Questenberg family of Prussia. Info dates back to about 1490. Still more work needs to be done in this area. As you know, Prussia is now Germany.

I am looking for tow Quetel brothers that left St. Barts, and went to St. Thomas. Isidore and Leopold. Their father moved the family to St. Barts, as he was hired to work in a cigarette/cigar factory(?)
I have Isidores marriage record, it states his father;s name was Jacque.
Can you shead any light?
