Hello all Morelocks! I am Mike Morelock...now living in Kansas City, Missouri...originally from Pensacola, Florida. A remarkable man, Jim Morelock, lives in St. Joseph, Missouri. I met him years ago and he has spent a lifetime researching and listing the lineage of Morelocks from the mid-1600's to the present. Words cannot describe the work he has done...I have a feeling that he probably has documents on every branch of the family. He is very computer literate, obviously, and it has all been carefully saved on hard drive as well as in print. Each year he sponsers a Morelock family reunion in Topeka, Kansas just a short 70 miles from here...it's in September. I think all Morelocks (after, say, 1750) have come out of East Tennessee. My Father Ober Morelock and his brother and teo sisters were from the Fall Branch/Church Hill/Kingsport area...My Grandparents are buried in Fall Branch. Morelock is definately of German origin...I have been to the Stutgart area in southern Germany(Swabia) and have seen many Morelocks in the telephone book...commonly spelled Morlock or Morlok over there. I am a disc jockey here in Kansas City. I have Jim's e-mail address somewhere...if you care to write this extraordinary man, I shall be glad to find it and foward it to you. By the way...my Aunt Alta Morelock...married to my Father's brother Verden Morelock..will be 93 this year...she lives in Columbus, Georgia. As far as I know, the Morelocks in Tennesse
originally came from Virginia. My Grandfather, Benjamin Elliot Morelock, raised his family in Kingsport, TN. The only living direct Aunt also lives in Kingsport, Tn. If you know of any relation to this Morelock clan, please contact us.

My Grandfather was Benjamin Elliot Morelock from Virginia and he raised his family in Kingsport, TN. My father passed away six years ago, he was James Rightly Morelock. I am the youngest of James or Ike. Guess what?
I have been a Broadcaster for the past 10 years in Johnson City, TN. So who knows the

My grandmother was Roxie Ena Morelock Hensley from Virginia and Henry Hensley was from Tennessee. My aunts still live in Jonesboro and Kingsport. They are children of Roxie and Henry. I have several cousins that are living in the Jonesboro area.They are Wards, Watsons, Cutshalls.

in bristol va . he came from down in hawkins county tn next to kingsport tenn He passed away in feb of 1961. He married
rosella javins from Greenbriar West Virginia. She passed away in january of 1961. they also had a son named Fred Morelock. They also had a number of sisters .I hope this
