My father's family goes back to 1831 when
Murdock Campbell born in Uist,
Scotland (1805-1878) came with his wife Mary
MacKinnon born on the Isle of
Muck(1812-1874)to settle at Cape
Breton,
Nova Scotia. The Macleans came from the Isle of
Mull in 1820. Murdock and Mary had six children: Donald,John,Ann,
Isabel,Alexander and Margaret.
Margaret married
Angus MacLean and they had 13 chidren. The oldest was hector
MacLean who was my great-great grandfather. Hector married Christine
MacLean so then I was descended from two
MacLean families.
They had six children: margaret,
Abby,
Hughie,
Angus, John Neil(my grandfather)and Mabel. My grandfather married Florence Gertrude
Smith and they had three children. John
Piercey MacLean is my father and he had four daughters so our line of Macleans ended with him. I don't know if any of us are related. RSVP
