My wife and I are looking for any information concerning her great grandparents who are believed to have to come to the United States in approximately 1913 from Germany. Their son Eric E. Legant married Ona Alma Vessels and they had 4 children. Gerald Eric, Joan, Carole and Diane. Eric and Ona lived in Kansas City, MO until their deaths. Any information anyone has on this family would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Art, Browsing the internet, I came upon your message. My father Paul William LeGant, was born in Chicago, IL in 1911. His father, (also named Paul), came to America from Berlin, Germany, (what year, I do not know). He married Elizabeth Wetter of Watertown, WI and had one child, my father. The only other relative named LeGant that I know of was Ferdinand LeGant, who lived in Berlin also. I hope this will be helpful to you in your search.
