Seeking information about Wilhelm Haecker m. Dorothea Grobe ca. 1855 in either Comal or Guadalupe Co., TX. He was first married to Christine Elizabeth Weiderstein. Also his daughter Ella L. who married first Walter Richard Gembler, then Oren Allie Stevens.

Dorethea,was married before also to Heinrich Schale,it is not known for sure if the 2 girls Frieda Ella are from this marriage or the Haecker marriage.From the information we have found Dorethea was born in Marion,Tx.
My husband's great grandfather was her brother.His name was Ernst.She had 5 other brothers 1 sister.
If you have any other information would you please past it on,and I will do the same.We have alot of information on most of Dorethea's sibbling's,but really nothing on her.Other than who she married,marriage dates, where she was born.

Mygggrandfather was Henry Grobe bn.1823 Germany,married Johanna Staats. Lived in Brazoria, Tx. Henry died Ca. 1870's, Wife moved to Colorado-Lavaca Co. Are our Grobe families related? I live in Guadalupe Co,.

Thanks for your response. I have several Henry or Heinrich Grobes in my database, but none with the birthdate of 1823. Seems possible these families could be connected considering they were German immigrants and came to the same general area of Texas.Lots of my husband's ancestors and even current "family" are in the Guadalupe county area! Seems, as far as I have searched, quite a lot of his Grobe line migrated to the Gillespie county area. I have your message printed out and will keep looking for the connection!

I have a Johanna Grobe who married Albert B Cornitius 11-12-1892 Colorado Co,TN. Could this be a relative of your Dorothea? A cousin or a sister. Johanna's bd is 10-1869 according to the 1880 census. I do not have a dd for her, but her husband died in Moulton,Lavaca,TX. Any information would be helpful as all I have is her name and bd.
