Martha,I'm just getting started on my family
tree and was wondering if there is anything
that you have that would be in my family.
My Daggetts were suppose to come from Marth'a Vineyard.Thank You in advance.

My wife is a Daggett. They hailed from New York City. Grandfather was Albert Daggett. Back in the 30's and 40's he was somewhat influential in the International Longshoremans Union, before that is kind of vague. There's speculation that they had family in the greater Boston area. When visiting Cape Cod, we looked-up the name and even noticed a local liquor store "Dagget's Liquors". Would love to get a lead on out-of-state relatives. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.

The only info I have is that the father of
my ggg grandfather,Abram Chrisman, b 1827 in
Vt was Peter. He was born in 1802, location
unknown. His father was Frederick married to
Nancy Daggett. They may be from Vt, possibly
Montpielier. But that is just a possibility.

I found out that Frederick Chrisman was b in
1777 and Nancy Daggett in 1779 in NY. They
are listed on the 1850 census for Richfield,
NY. I am still looking for info.
