My grandfather, Dr.Arnold Traubitz, emmigrated from Falticeni, ROM. His brother, Solomon came from Bucharest, ROM. Both came to USA in early 1900's. Their fathers' name is Ephriam but do not know mothers' name. Arnold sent money to a woman named Sabina Traubitz in ROM in 1920. maybe this is his mother or younger sister. Does this surname exist ANYWHERE besides with my family here in the USA? Thank You, Please e-mail me with any hits or suggestions. Lisa

Is it possible that they belong to the Trobitz family in New
York ? Solomon Trobitz came to New York 1887 from Romania.
I found his name in the household of one of his sons -in-law
Joseph Rosenberg, married to Bella nee Trobitz, in the same household lived my greatuncle Jacob Goldstein , being a cousin
of Joseph Rosenberg. The address of Saul (Solomon) was 220 Eldrige in 1900 and later in 1930 911 Tiffany in New York.
There are only daughters in the census, Lucy (Lena), Lilly
(Tilly), Bella. Bella had 2 sons 1920, Myron * 1918 and Herbert.
Rosenberg and Goldstein arrived from Ruskova, which is not very far from Falteceni.
