Found in an Livingston Co. MO Deed Book: "...Jas S. Bell and Margaret A. Bell , his wife, of Bell Valley in Yuba Co. Calif....sold to Joseph P. Martin of Sacramento, Suter Co. Calif. Oct. 27th 1853." James and Margaret are my 3rd Great Grandparents. Where is "Bell Valley"? Two of their sons were born in CA (one being my 2nd great grandfather) and by 1856 they are back in Livingston MO. Came out from Livingston Co. MO for the Gold Rush. A MO history book refers to James as "Buena Vista" Bell.
