I need some help in documenting the following information. I am trying to prove my ancestor grandfather, Jacob VanDorn, as having provided services during the REV WAR. This would make Jacob eligible as a Patroit.

Are there any books dealing with people of Monmouth county providing services for the REV WAR?

Thanks for any help, suggestions, or info.

****INFO:

Jacob Van Dorn House

688 Route 520, Hillsdale

The Jacob Van Dorn House was built in 1732 and is owned by Aristo Scrobogna. This Georgian style house with Dutch Colonial Revival alterations has 2 1/2 stories, a 5 bay main section built in 1753, with 1 1/2 story and 3 bay west wing built in 1732. The property on Jacob Van Dorn tract was purchased from Chief Wickatong around 1700. It has a tunnel that was used in the Revolutionary War. The New Jersey Historic Sites Inventory calls it very important.
