Our Combs RootsWeb Motto is: HOW DO YOU KNOW?

In other words, when any of us post our lines, we try to always include our sources, whether those happen to be strong documentation such as birth, death and marriage certificates, census records and wills, or "weak" documentation such as Oral Family History ("My grandmother, Sarah Combs, b 1870, d 1940, told my mother that her mother and father were both Combs").

When we actually have the documentation "in hand," we post transcriptions of it. If it's a second-hand source (someone else told us what the documentation is), then we post that information... In other words, we post everything we've got -- weak, strong, first-hand or second.

Because our #1 Combs RootsWeb Goal is TO DOCUMENT OUR COMBS.
