My direct ancestor is Willis Cross who resided per 1820 cenus in Cambria, Niagara Co., NY. This is my earliest reference to him. At that point he had married a "Polly".He had moved on to Oneida Co, NY by 1830.
I would like to know about other Cross families in Niagara that may be related: Daniel Cross who purch. land in 1838 probably in the town of Lockport (Willis had a brother named Daniel); Charlotte (Butler) Cross who purchased lots on Olcott, Walnut and Chestnut streets in 1841, 1843, and 1848; she died in 1898; and Sidney S. Cross who purchased mutiple pieces of land starting in 1838 and going at least into 1855. These 3 people all got lots on Olcott St. making me think they are related somehow.
Other Cross names: Samuel S. Cross (88 A land in 1841); Elisha Cross; Lester Cross; Dennis Cross, died 1873; Edward Cross, died 1886.
