I am trying to find information on Caleb Long - born in 1787 in KY according to census and marriage records. He evidently died between 1860 and 1870 as he is on the 1860 census but not the 1870.

He was married 4 times and had children by two of these marriages.

His last marriage was to Missouri - I don't know her maiden name. They had 5 children one of which was my great great grandfather George Washington Long.

I am trying to figure out where Caleb actually came from and info on his parents and other family.

My mother said that "Pop" (her grandfather - George Washington's son) was full blood Cherokee. I don't think that is correct as I have traced his Mother's family back to England. But I have seen pictures and do believe there is Indian blood there.

If anyone has any info on Caleb or his wife Missouri I would greatly appreciate your assistance.
