Here is a new theory. The KELLOGG sisters, REBECCA and SARAH, were kidnapped by indians in the 1704 Deerfield, MA massacre and taken to Canada to grow up with the indians. REBECCA went home in 1728, with an indian man and boy. Could this boy have been SAMUEL EVANS?? REBECCA married again and her and her husband both taught at indian villages in NY. SARAH ended up in Albany, NY and married an indian chief?? Could they have had SAMUEL EVANS? The name EVANS could have been exchanged for the original indian name when the men were Baptized. I know this sounds like a long-shot, but then, this is geneology!! Hope this can spark a light somewhere. Thanks, Judyth. ps. SAMUEL EVANS was born in Caughnawaga NY, and baptized in Kent, CT,. SAMUEL married an indian named MARIA CAYENQUERREGO, who was baptized in the Albany RDC. His son, NATHANIEL lived in Coshecton.
