I have been trying to research family in Butler Co., PA from census' on Ancestry but their Search Engine is Horrible now or at least the results I am getting when I ask for specific family names and places and Don't click on the "Exact Match" box, brings up every name in every state in the U.S. when I've only asked for one name that was in One county in PA.
This is very frustrating and way too time consuming to sift through all of these places.
If I click on the "Exact Match" box for the same name and county it Always comes up and tells me there is NO One Found. If I unclick the Exact Match box, it finds tons of them. What happened to their Search Engine?
It used to be so much better than this or am I missing something that I ought to be checking or uncheking. They keep changing the format on this site so much that I can't seem to learn to use the site before they changed it again.
Apologies for all that, but I find it very frustrating when it is so expensive to join that its not easier to use and with a stronger and more powerful Search Engine!

Did Butler Co., PA used to be called something else? Maybe this is my problem in not being able to target my family better.
