My family tree comes to a stop at my grandfather, William Eugene Pickering, who has passed away. He's from the Vermillion area of Illinois. I know is that his mother passed during his birth, his father gave him up for adoption and he served in the Navy but that's it. What I'd like to know is what type of Native American he was and if he had any family (ie. siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins) but I have no idea how to find any of that out. If anyone can help, please reply, ASAP!
