JOYCE - CLOONAN - FARRELL CONNECTION

Surnames: JOYCE, FARRELL, CLOONAN
Does anyone have information on a connection between the JOYCE/JOICE family and the CLOONAN family? My gg grandfather, Patrick Joyce, may have married a Cloonan. His wife's first name was Nancy. The marriage would have taken place around 1800 + or - a couple of years. Their son, Mathew Joyce, married Mary Farrell.

Also, if any of you are historians, can you tell me anything about migration from County Galway to southeastern Ireland (Carlow, Kilkenny, & Wexford) around or before 1800. It seems several of the same family names appear in there two areas on the opposite sides of Ireland.
