Hello, wondering if anyone could shed light on this mystery. My gggrandather, DAVID ALLEN ROLPH, was b. 1830 PA, married ELIZABETH GILLILAND of PA in 1849. They moved west, being found in Carimona, MN in the 1850s. DAVID served in the Civil War (mustered through PA), and the family is found in Albion, Nebraska in 1870. DAVID and his daughter LUELLA (also known as Leula, Serilla) died on the same day - Oct. 15, 1880,near Albion or possibly Wheeler (Dodge). Some in my family thing Luella was David's son, because of a census.
My question is, did they die in an accident? Illness? I have never found a death notice or burial information.
Other children of DAVID and ELIZABETH are Melvina, AUBREY ROLPH JAMES.
Thank you Julie Sandland
