My great grandfather, Silas Ezra Hyatt, was mustered into the 124 th NY Infantry, Company D. He was wounded at Gettysburg on July 2, 1863. He spent time at Camden Hospital, Baltimore, MD. He was transferred to Regiment 6, Company G Veteran Reserve Corps. 1) How can I find out where his regiment was on July 2, 1883? 2) How can I find out what his wound was? 3) Does any one know if the Group he was in in the Veteran Reserve Corps was part of Battalion I (minor injury) or Battalion II (more severe injury)?
