A few months ago I was in the Catoosa County Courthouse, Probate Judge's office and found a few pages on the dissolution of the estate of Madison E. RHODES who died 1891 in Catoosa. My travel schedule did not allow for time to write what was contained in those records. At the time, I wasn't worried since the front of the book showed the documents had been microfilmed by the Georgia Archives. When I got to the Archives, I was sickened/dismayed/frustrated to find that the documents I wanted were not available. I was told that some documents were "secured" and not available to the public. Perhaps in quite a few years those records will be available. In the meantime, is there someone who will be near the Catoosa County Courthouse who would be willing to copy the 2 documents for me? This will require hand writing what is contained in those 2 entries. Cameras and photocopying are not allowed. Fortunately, the entries are typed (they were made in 1911). I would be happy to reimburse for any expenses, time and effort. I live in Florida and do not expect to get to Ringgold again.
