From notes of a niece "Uncle Robbie" was a Missionary to South Africa for the Baptist church. b. cir 1853 in Berkeley Co., WV, widowed circa 1876 (first wife Nancy Phillips died at age 22). Son Charles, b 1874, raised by his sister Mary (Aunt Sibbie). I have confirmed three pastorates in the 1870-1880 range from Centre Baptist Assoc. of PA. Understand that he remarried and took up the Mission field serving at a minimum in South Africa, possibly in other African sites. Need confirmation and dates plus second wife's name and dates. Any help and direction gratefully received. Even death location and date would be great.
