According to the book "History Of Bourbon, Scott, Harrison And Nicholas Counties", Kentucky, Chapter XVI, beginning on page 134 the history of North Middleton Precinct No. 4 is recorded.

Page 135 relates that in 1819 that John Rash and his wife were among the first members of a new church and that John Rash was one of three men who were most prominent in establishing the church. Enoch Mason was the first pastor of the church and he later gave the following sketch of John Rash, "John Rash was born and raised in Clark County, and was converted at the age of thirteen, under the preaching of Elder Ambrose Dudley. He was conscientious, honest and candid, without guile and transparent as glass. He was firm almost to a fault, and if he had lived in times of religious persecution would have courted the stake if his Master's cause had required it. He died in 1842 in Nicholas County."

Family Tree Maker CD-Rom # 229 records that John Rash married Elizabeth Wright on May 15, 1805 in Clark County, Kentucky. Also recorded are John Rash m. Margaret Fuqua August 30, 1833 in Bourbon County, Morris Rash m. Elizabeth F. Bowley August 31 in Bourbon County, 1833 and Warren Rash m. Alvina Aedges (Hedges) in Clark County.

My mother's (Lilian M. Rash, b. 1899, daughter of James Lawson Rash and Mary Rebecca Fry) hand written notes of her ancestors identifies a John Rash m. Mary Wright as her ancestor and that John had four sons named John Rash m. Ms. Fuqua, Morris Rash, Warren Rash and Thomas William Rash m. Margaret Brothers whom Lilian was descended from. There were 5 sisters, Sallie, Mary, Tabitha, Susan and Nancy in that Rash family also.

John Rash m. Margaret Fuqua had three sons, Lawson Rash, Ben Rash and William Rash.

Morris Rash m. Elizabeth F. Bowley had six children, Steve Rash, John Rash, Jim Rash, Jane Rash, Sarah Rash and that one unidentified child married a Todd (Family Tree Maker CD-Rom # 229 records that John W. Rash m. Sardinia Todd on January 4, 1831 and that a Joseph W. Rash m. Mary L. Todd on March 12, 1835).

Warren Rash m. Alvina Aedges (Hedges) had three children named William Rash, Mary Rash and Sarah Rash.

Thomas William Rash m. Margaret Brothers had twelve children named Matilda Elizabeth Rash, John Davis Rash, James Lawson Rash, Ambrose Franklin Rash, Arch Miller Rash, Mary Davis Rash, Mariam Cassandra Rash, Henry Morris Rash, William Warren (Uncle Billy) Rash, Cordelia Jane Rash, Sarah Louis Rash and Nancy Margaret Rash.

Are there any other descendants from these families out there?
