THORNDALE - Funeral services for Shirley J. Menzel, 72, of Thorndale will be Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Thorndale.

Mrs. Menzel died Sunday, Sept. 23.

She was born Oct. 15, 1934, to Paul Moerbe, Sr. and Annie (Keller) Moerbe in Taylor.

She married Cecil C. Menzel on Nov. 11, 1951, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale.

Mrs. Menzel was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Survivors are her husband of 55 years, Cecil C. Menzel of Thorndale; a son, Frank Menzel and wife Mary of Georgetown; two daughters, Cherry Tag and husband Ronny and Lori Lanfear and husband Karry, all of Thorndale; grandchildren Clay Menzel, Justin Davidson, Leslie Menzel, Rheannon Davidson and Cheyanne Lanfear; and two brothers, Paul Moerbe, Jr., Calvin Moerbe and wife Peggy.

Pallbearers will be Lee Moerbe, Clint Moerbe, Gary Moerbe, Leslie Moerbe, Melvin Felfe and Rodney Felfe.

Honorary pallbearers will be Clay Menzel, Justin Davidson and Wesley Moerbe.
