My paternal great grandmother Betsy Johnson was born around 1884 in Arkansas. The county I am guessing would be Drew since she has seemed to live there for a big chunk of her life. Her mothers name was Julia Peoples/Peebles who was born around 1866 in North Carolina. Julia married a man name Benjamin Jones and W M Peoples/Peebles. I do not know who the Johnson person is and I would like to find out who that Johnson person is so that I will know who my great great grandfather is. I believe that her maiden name is hobgood or something similar. I believe that because on the 1900 census her brother was listed on it and his name was ben hobgood. I would also like to know who his parents are and Julia's parents. Betsy married a man name Percy Stewart who was born in 1879 in Drew, Arkansas and I believe died in 1926 in Arkansas, County. I believe that they only had 3 children, and the names are Percy Stewart born in 1906, Lonnie Stewart born in 1905, and the only child I do not know. Percy Stewart Jr the one born in 1906 is my grandfather. I found Betsy on the 1900 and 1910 census. On the 1920 census I found Percy and 2 of his children and his nephew but Betsy as not listed and Percy was listed was widowed so I believe that Betsy died sometime after the 1910 census. I was also told by my father that his father Percy Stewart Jr had some Cherokee ancestry and he found that out from the funeral director at Percy's funeral, so I was wondering if Julia or Julia's husband had some sort Cherokee ancestry or any other American Indian ancestry. I would also really appreciate it if someone can help me find out when Betsy died.
