I'm trying to find out who the parents were of George F. KEMP, born December 22, 1856. His parents and siblings, according to oral history, were killed when he was a child, and he was found wandering "in the woods", and taken "across the river" into KY where he was raised by a man named Jim TANNER.

If anyone has access to Census information that would be much appreciated. Also, anyone with info on historical societies or libraries that may carry a story such as the above, would be very helpful also.
