Both my parents and g - parents are from Otok Ugljan.

Alavanja - grandfather Thomas( Tome) arrived in USA in the early 1900's. My dad came here in 1937 or there abouts. Paternal grandmother ( Marija Stipanich) remained behind in Cjeperlanda a village on the island. I have traced back to my great grandfather and the line goes dead. I have been told that is because Alavanja was not always the surname.
