Nettie' mother was an Armstrong, sister of CC Armstrong, and she married a Mr. Martin. CC Armstrong was a resident of Henry Co MO. He adopted Nettie at 6 years old, ca1874. Family story is there were 2 sisters including Nettie; Nettie's mother died in childbirth when a son was born. Nettie later married T J Kindel Jr in Parker Co TX and died 1953 in NM. Are the adoption papers of Henry Co MO available to possibly show Nettie's biological parents? Perhaps a newspaper carried an account in 1874? Anyone have info to help here?
