My father was adopted by a couple in Glasgow around 1927. They were Mr and Mrs Delaney (maiden name Brennan), may have originally come from Ireland (Donegal, perhaps). My father married a Jean or Janet but the marriage didn't last very long. He then left Glasgow in early 1960s with my mother to start a new life in Dublin. He died in 1965.
