There was a story about a Boy adopted and emigrated to the USA, this story was relayed to me by an elderly relative, I had not even given this any thought in the past 35 yrs years until today, I was able to access my Gt, Uncle Charles Langford Military records for the 1914-1918 War. On the last page is listed his siblings Robert Langford emigrated to Australia, James, and Mary both at different Industrial schools in Scotland. I did know about the two younger children were in the Industrial schools, but knew nothing of the boy Robert. I do not know his birth year, I have tried the BMD listing on Ancestry, but no matches, so I am wondering if this adoption was done legally after the birth etc... as I found no registration had been done. Also makes the story of USA a bit confusing, but if his brother had listed it on his Military papers, it must be correct. Does anyone have any ideas?
