The above gentleman went gold prospecting to USA, probably Montana and I am unable to trace him either leaving the UK or re-entering it. There are several possibilities, but I'm not sure how to confirm them.

He last appears on the 1881 Census aged 15 living at 81 Shortridge Street, Attercliffe cum Darnall and then again on the 1901 census at 2 Amberley Place, Attercliffe. He married in February 1897 here in the UK.

My query is would I be best to track him through the electoral rolls of the time? And if yes, how do I go about finding out where I can ask for a kindly volunteer to do this?!
