Mr. Wayne Eugene Upchurch age 77 of 117 Crescent Street, Martinsville, VA husband of Mrs. Peggy Lawrence Upchurch passed away Saturday, May 26, 2007 at the home of his daughter, Tammy Edens in Huntersville, NC.

He was born April 20, 1930 in Carroll County, VA to Dennis and Maggie Spencer Upchurch.

He was retired from Bosch Tool Company and was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a member of the Liberty Pentecostal Holiness Church in Martinsville.

Surviving are his wife, Peggy L. Upchurch of the home, two daughters and a son-in law, Tammy Edens, Huntersville, NC, Doris and Jim Sharp, Linton, IN, two sons, Doug Upchurch, Collinsville, VA, and Robert Upchurch, Martinsville, VA, parents, Dennis and Maggie S. Upchurch, Lambsburg, VA, six grandchildren, Jessica Edens, Huntersville, NC, Sheena Chavez, Linton, ID, Brandon Sharp, Linton, ID, Tiffany Upchurch, North Wilkesboro, NC, Amanda Robinson, Charleston, IL, Heather Upchurch Robinson, Charleston, IL, six great grandchildren, Daylan Gibson, Linton, ID, Brenda Prevette, Chase Robinson, Elijah Robinson Jonathan Robinson all of Charleston, ID, and Carlie Brown, Robinson, IL, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred and Orville Cothan, Lambsburg, VA and Brenda and Gene Presley, Lincolnton, NC, three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Harley and Tammy Upchurch, Mt. Airy, NC, D.J. Upchurch Lambsurg, VA, Kenneth and Shirley Upchurch, Denton, NC.

Mr. Upchurch was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Bernard Upchurch.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 Am Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel of Mt. Airy conducted by Rev. Don Dowell and Bro. Kenneth Upchurch. The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Monday night at Moody Funeral Home where his body will remain until the hour of the service.
