WATSON - Immigrated to Vic 1855 on Lightning - Passenger Lists?

Hi All,

I'm trying to find information on George Douglas WATSON. He was born in Uddingston on 29 Mar 1820
Uddingstone, Glasgow, South Lanarkshire, Scotland.

I believe he emigrated to Australia in 1885 during the Nov voyage of the "Lightning". I've been able to find quite a bit about the ship but not any passenger lists.

I've checked the PROV Unassisted Migrants database and I think the record I am after is: Fiche 101 Page 004. I can't get to the office (I'm in NSW). And I can't find a library here with the records on fiche or form.

Does anyone know if these records are available anywhere else?

The family settled in Sandhurst/Bendigo/Dunolly.

I'm also after any info on these as well, particularly George Douglas WATSON's grandson of the same name who was supposedly killed in early Feb 1933 after having been struck by a cricket ball during a match.

Cheers,
Michelle
