Mr. Frederick Earl Higgason, son of the late Eugene Thomas Higgason and Sarah Embry Higgason, was born 24 Aug 1893 in Green Co. And departed this life at 7:00 pm Mon 31 Oct 1983 in the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg, Ky. He was 90 years, 2 months and 7 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church at the time of his death. Mr. Higgason was also a member of the Masonic Lodge for 66 years and the senior member of the Lodge. He was united in marriage to Beulah Henderson, who preceded him in death on 25 Jan 1961. They were united on 24 Dec 1922 and to this union were born 1 son and 1 daughter: Lewis Higgason of Greensburg, Ky. and Mrs. Carol Wells of N.C. Mr. Higgason is also survived by 3 brothers and 3 sisters: Mrs. Nell Piper, F; Walter Higgason, Ga; Mrs. Dennis Mills, Center, Ky., Mrs. Lucille Thompson, Cadiz, Ky; Charlie Higgason, Edmonton, Ky. And Morris Higgason, Center, Ky. Other survivors include 1 grandson, David Wells, NC; 2 step-children, Sheila Huff and Dawling Forbis; 2 step-great grandchildren, Isaac Huff and Joel Huff. A host of other relatives and friends also survive. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted at the Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 2:00 pm Thurs. 3 Nov 1983 with burial in the Bethel Cem. Masonic Rites were also held at the funeral home Wed. 2 Nov 1983 at 7:00 pm. Rev. Keith Atwell officiated the Church service. Pallbearers were Robert Church, Carl Nunn, Don Church, Dr. Norman Gooch, Emmitt Lile, Gordon Roberts, and Emmitt Lile.
