Travis Mathaniel Huff, 84, son of the late George Huff and Hilda Davidson Huff died at 8:45 am Wed. 4 Dec [1985] at his home, 724 Miller Road Campbellsville. He was a member of the Hogards Chapel Methodist Church at the time of his death. He united in marriage to Musie Gutherie on 25 Nov 1922 who preceded him in death on 3 Apr 1980. To this union was born 3 sons and 2 daughter: James Huff and Henry Huff, both of the Black Gnat Community. Geneva Penick, Carrie Arbuckle and Herbert Van Huff preceded their father in death. Huff is survived by 1 step-daughter and 1 step-son, Opal Spears, of Burkesville, Ky. and Ira Eaders of Ca. William Eaders, a step-son preceded him in death. He is survived by 1 brother and 4 sisters: John Huff, Barren Co; Oval Scott, Burkesville; Etta Key, Cave City; Mallie Skipworth, Cave City and Myrtie Riddle of Indianapolis. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted at 2 pm Fri. 6 Dec with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Lester Carter and the Rev. Clarence Bertram officiated. Pallbearers were: Billy Gordon Wright, R.B. Wright, John Lipps, John Wright, Kenneth Lawson and Mike Price.
