Mrs. Daisy B. Bloyd, 86 of 518 S. Market St., Hoopeston, died at 4:30 am Fri. 4 Jun 1962 at the Hoopeston Community Memorial Nursing Home where she had been a patient for 2 months. Born 17 Apr 1896 near Greensburg, Ky., she was the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Nathan Judd. She was married to William T. Bloyd on 23 Dec 1915 near Grab, Ky. He survives. Also surviving are: 2 daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Erminee) Boughton, of Sanford, NC; and Mrs. Dale (Inez) Ferrell, of Danville; 4 sons, Troy of Hoopeston; Thomas (Tom) of Hoffman Estates; Glenn, of Tampa, Fl; David, of Omaha, Heb; 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Archie Judd, from St. Joseph, Mich. She was preceded in death by 1 son, Lars, and several brothers and sisters. She had resided in Hoopeston for 64 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hoopeston where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years, and she was a member of the Women’s Missionary Circle of the church. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 pm Mon. At the Hamilton-Orr Funeral Home. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cem. Friends may call from 3 to 6 pm. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in the form of contributions to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
