David Bright, 78, of West Saloma Rd. In Campbellsville, the son of the late Willie T. Bright and Cora Ethel Mardis Bright was born 11 Jan 1926 in Taylor Co. and departed this life Sat. 7 Mar 2004 in Campbellsville. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He served in the US Army. He united in marriage to Marie Hudson 20 Dec 1952 who survives. Also surviving are 4 daughters, 1 son and their spouses: Barbara Jean and Bobby McCubbins of Summersville; Brenda and Mark Hazard and Nita and Mike Parker, all of Campbellsville, Linda Cardenas and her companion Jerry Gavito of El Paso, Texas and J.D. and Tonya Bright of Canmer; 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters and 1 brother-in-law, Alleyne and Garland “Cwood” Wright and Margaret Bright, all of Campbellsville. Bright was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters: Linus Bright, Howard Bright, Irene Mardis and Mildred Colvin. The funeral services for David Bright were conducted Wed. 10 Mar at Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home with burial in the Brookside Cem. Rev. Michael Goodwin officiated. Pallbearers were Jerry Gavito, Mark Hazard, Adam McCubbins, Bobby McCubbins, Keith Parker and Mike Parker. The family requests expression s of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Memorial Plan.
