Hello,
I'm trying to determine the parentage of Lavinia Boomer who m. James Brenton in 1868. They lived in Brookfield and had at least 13 children and I believe had a nephew who was adopted, to total 14.

Maxwell b. 1873 m. Mary McKinnon - lived in Arlington, MA, USA, d. 1940
Alice L. b. 1874 [may have moved to U.S.]
Matilda b. 1875 m. Alexander Nicholson - lived in Boston, MA until at least 1910
Margaret b. 1878
George L. b. 1879
Ada M. b. 1880 m. John Henderson - lived in Arlington, MA. Ada d. in Lexington, MA in 1972
Weldon b. 1882 m. Mary Josephine Hanlon - lived in Boston, d. 1942, bur. Arlington, MA
Clara b. 1884
Lettie b. 1885 m. a MacMahan, was living with sister Jessie in Somerville, MA, had son Aubrey and enumerated as widowed in 1920
Jessie b. 1887 - moved to Somerville and again to Washington State where she died in 1921
Clarence b. 1893 [the adopted nephew] according to census records
Irene b. 1894

According to the Canadian census records and the International Genealogical Indices I've found, all of the above children were born in Brookfield.

I seem to have enough information on the Brenton side, but can't seem to find much of anything on the Boomer side. The only other information I've got on Lavinia [seen spelled a variety of ways] is that she was b. "1852 Hants, Nova Scotia". James Brenton b. 1846 d. 1913 and Lavinia d. 1912.
