David McCLANAHAN b. abt. 1846 in TN, found living in St. Francois Co., MO in the 1870 census Iron township living with the Andrew Cummings family--may have been in Johnson co, IL in early 1900's. Mary E. McCLANAHAN, b. abt. 1848 in TN...said to have married a ? JONES . Hannah Isabelle McCLANAHAN, b. 1850 TN married Marion C. BAKER in Reynolds co., later moved to IL and then to Montana. Sarah A. McCLANAHAN b. abt. 1853 in IL married a Milton Elihue EZELL in St. Francois Co on 5-4-1873. Samuel H. McCLANAHAN b. abt. 1853 or 1857 in Grantsburgh, IL, found in St. Francois Co, MO in 1878 when he married Margret Zerilda BEARD on June 30, 1878. Their known children were, Jesse, Mary E. (Bessie) who married David L. BEARD on 4-23-1899 in St. Francois co, Arzonia Alma who married Henry GANN on 1-10-1900, and Ada. Margret Beard McClanahan died between 1878-1899, Samuel H. remarried to Annie ( ) Robinson of Bismarck on 5-31-1899. Joseph Robert McCLANAHAN b. 1863 in Washington co married Sarah E. BANNISTER (daughter of Hezekiah & Sarah Smart Bannister) in St. Francois Co on 10-5-1884. They had nine children. Sarah died in 1919 and Joseph Robert remarried to Mary Baxter Chapman.
