I am researching the Carlile/Carlisle families that lived in the Jackson County Indiana community for a time. My line came from Ireland, then to Pennsylvania, Carroll County (Tuscarawas County) Ohio, Jackson and Scott County, Indiana, and some moved on to Iowa and Kansas.

Is there anyone researching these family lines? If so, please contact me. I am specifically looking for records of George Gerome Carlile born about 1852 in Jackson County, Indiana, son of William M. Carlile and Sarah Guthrie. Sarah was supposed to have been born in Jackson County, 1831, and married William Carlile in Jackson County in 1851.
