I am seeking Mike East who lived in or near the north side of Indianapolis, IN in the mid-1960's.
He dated my mother Joyce Hostetler. She was newly divorced and had a 2 yo daughter (me).

They Happily dated for some time when she very suddenly broke off their relationship and never spoke to or saw him again. For that reason, he was never aware that she was pregnant with is child. On Nov 28, 1968 their baby boy was born in Indianapolis. His name is Stephen Joseph. At the time Joyce and Stephen used the surname, Hostetler but both have changed to her maiden name, Kenny.

They now live in California. She was afraid of telling him that she was pregnant and was already under a lot of social and family pressures for being a divorced, single mom. As a result of being pregnant out of wedlock the court changed custody giving me to my father and although she tried every year, the court would never reverse the order despite no evidence that she was an unfit parent. She raised my brother along and I saw them on weekends.

My brother would really like to know who his father is beyond just a name. He himself has two now adult daughters and has been married for over 20 years. He's a good guy and hard working. He knows that it is possible that his father would not want a relationship at all but he would also like this man to know he has a son he never knew about.

My mom doesnt remember where he lived or exactly how they met. They ran around with a large group of friends in north Indy. Her 3 best girlfriends were Toni, Jennifer and Marcia. She has two younger sisters and one younger brother.
