I've just started researching this line. I'm looking for the parents and siblings of a John Tobias ELLISON, b abt Nov 1848 in AL and his wife and her parents and siblings. Married to Lorine (Lorraine?) and/or Myrtle - census indicates Lorine, family descendants indicate Myrtle.

1900 Wilson Co TX census shows John T. ELLISON, b Nov 1848, age 51, born in AL, parents born in SC, married 15 years. Also indicates wife as Lorine, b Nov 1866, age 33, born in AL and parents born in AL, married 15 years, with 6 children born, 4 living & named.

Named children are:
Albert H., b. Jan 1887 TX
Irene, b Nov 1890 TX
Willie, b Apr 1893 FL [James William ?]
Carl, b July 1899 TX [Thomas Carl]

Two additional daughters are known and both lived to adulthood and married:
Gussie
Myrtle

Family history has it that Lorine died late 1890's, however, since she appears on the 1900 census, I'm guessing she died ca 1904-05, the approximate date of birth for daughter Myrtle. John Tobias died ca 1911. He is on the 1910 Wilson Co,TX census with children Albert, Willie, Carl and Myrtle. After his death ca 1911, daughter Irene who had married Gus STOBBS (ran a grocery store in Stockdale, Wilson Co, TX), adopted the minor children.

Thomas Carl ELLISON was my son's g-grandfather. He married Emma Irene Friday about 1930, in TX.

Any hints, clues, information on the ancestors of this Ellison family would be greatly appreciated.
