Violet "Dolly" Leskowitz, 62, of Bellwood died Monday afternoon, (4/26/2010) at her residence. She was born in Tyrone, daughter of the late Donald E. and Betty J. (Murtiff) Green Sr. She married Darryl L. Leskowitz. Surviving are her husband, at home; two daughters: Donna L. VanAtta (Bill) of Hollidaysburg and Dana C. Campbell of Bellwood; a son, Michael S. of Tipton; five sisters: Donna Lee of Cresson, Karen Hammel of Altoona, Mary Rhoades in South Carolina, Cathy Hough of Duncansville and Carol Green of Chambersburg; two brothers: Donald E. Green Jr. of Pinecroft and Darryl L. Green of Chambersburg; five grandchildren: Betsy, Allen, Corey, Codey and Halley; and two step-grandchildren: Joshua and Alex. Mrs. Leskowitz was a 1966 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. She retired as a steward from Bellwood Eagles. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bellwood, and a member of the Bellwood Eagles. Dolly enjoyed gardening, crocheting and spending time with her family. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Vincent J. Good Funeral Parlor, Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. today at the funeral parlor, officiated by Pastor Joshua Hansen.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
